Dr. Kandace Kichler on Surgery, Faith, Power, and Building a Life Beyond the White Coat

Before the operating rooms. Before the fellowship. Before the businesses, the seven and eight figure goals, the motherhood juggle, and the white coat authority, there was a twelve year old girl growing up on a farm in Alabama. Dr. Kandace Kichler’s as known professionally as @SlimmingSurgeon journey into medicine began through proximity, curiosity, and purpose. Her mother worked as an office manager for a family practice physician, and from a young age, Kandace found herself immersed in that world, observing, learning, and naturally gravitating toward medicine.

But it was during medical school, the first time she stepped into an operating room, that everything crystallized. “Everything shifted,” she recalls. “I felt it. I knew. This is where I’m meant to be.” That moment was not about prestige. It was alignment. Surgery became her language. Precision became her discipline. Yet what ultimately defines her is not only technical mastery, but her ability to integrate science with humanity.

Modern Medicine with Meaning

In today’s rapidly evolving world of medicine and aesthetics, Dr. Kandace approaches patient care with a philosophy rooted in connection, confidence, and wholeness. “People aren’t simple,” she explains. “When someone comes to me about their body, they’re thinking about their face, their health, their confidence, and their whole life.”

For her, medicine extends far beyond procedures. It is about helping people feel aligned within themselves. Science guides the decisions, while intuition, listening, and emotional intelligence shape the experience. Technology and innovation, she believes, are powerful tools that enhance the future of medicine.

“Technology is our friend. If you don’t embrace it, you’ll get left behind.” Yet no amount of advancement can replace human connection. Presence matters. Eye contact matters. Knowing your patient matters. That balance between precision and compassion has become the foundation of her work.

Feminine Power in a White Coat

Within a field traditionally shaped by hierarchy and intensity, Dr. Kandace has built a leadership style grounded in calm authority, integrity, and care. To her, feminine power is not about volume. It is about steadiness, presence, and confidence without intimidation. During residency, she witnessed many different forms of leadership, but it was surgeons like Dr. Mostafavi who left the greatest impression.

“She was calm. Graceful. A badass surgeon. But she never had to scream.” That example stayed with her. “I want to be known as someone who’s successful, confident, and a girl’s girl.” Inside her operating room, respect is cultivated through trust, consistency, and excellence.

Building with Intention

When asked about resilience, her perspective is deeply rooted in character.

“Never burn a bridge. Forgive quickly. Be kind. Stay humble.”

Those principles have guided her through every chapter of her evolution, from surgery to entrepreneurship. While many physicians follow traditional paths, Dr. Kandace felt called toward creating something of her own.

“I like freedom. I like growth. I like building something.” An opportunity to become Medical Director for a medical spa opened the door to entrepreneurship and eventually led to the creation of her first business, North Palm Beach Esthetics. Rather than over-planning every step, she learned to recognize aligned opportunities when they appeared.

“Most people don’t.” Eventually, she stepped fully into ownership, building a career and business on her own terms. “God puts things in your path when it’s the right time. You have to take the leap. I’m happy. I feel aligned.”

Motherhood, Presence, and Priorities

Motherhood transformed the way she views time, energy, and success. Her first child was born during fellowship. Her second arrived while she was working in plastic surgery. Throughout it all, she continued building businesses and expanding her vision. “Before children, you think you have unlimited time. Then your priorities shift.” With that shift came stronger boundaries, greater intentionality, and a deeper appreciation for presence.

One of her most important rituals happens the moment she walks through the front door. Her phone stays away. She greets her husband and children fully present, grounding herself in connection before anything else.

To Dr. Kandace, beauty has little to do with perfection. It is confidence, alignment, calmness, and the energy that radiates from truly knowing yourself. “You don’t have to be perfect. But when you’re aligned, that confidence reads as beauty.”

Her definition of success has evolved over the years as well. Today, success means autonomy. Building a life that reflects your values. Creating opportunities not only for yourself, but for others. She speaks openly about her ambitions, including seven and eight figure goals, not from a place of excess, but expansion. “More is more.” For her, wealth represents growth, leadership, mentorship, and the ability to empower future generations of women.

The Art of Modern Medicine

Dr. Kandace believes the future of healthcare will merge advanced technology with wellness, spirituality, and deeper human connection. Patients increasingly seek care that acknowledges the mind, body, and purpose together. Medicine is evolving into something more integrated, more intentional, and more holistic. And she intends to remain at the forefront of that evolution. “I stand in a place today that I once prayed for.”

Still, she views success not as a destination, but as continual expansion. Growth in leadership, growth in impact, growth in mentorship, and growth in purpose all remain central to her vision. And when asked what comes next, her answer is simple: “Keep rising.” This is Dr. Kandace Kichler. Surgeon. Entrepreneur. Mother. Mentor. Woman of faith. A modern example of feminine leadership rooted in excellence, alignment, and connection.
