Several years ago, Elva Li was tirelessly trying to sell her services for $500 per package, constantly chasing her next client. Today, her pricing for bespoke services ranges between $10,000 and $50,000. Her brand now attracts dream premium clients, with five-figure days becoming the new norm. Elva is dedicated to honing her mastery over the years, but what made a massive shift in her journey was owning who she is and being unapologetic about her craft, desires, and vision. This journey of transformation led her from ordinary to luxury, from internal identity to external brand.

She stopped playing small, discounting herself, minimizing her worth, and worrying about others’ opinions. Instead, she began to acknowledge her mastery and desire to create luxury. She views herself and her clients as luxury. Crowning herself as the “Luxury Queen,” she ignited her embodied and feminized luxury brand. According to Elva, luxury isn’t found in a watered-down version of someone else’s brand, in following a cookie-cutter approach to building a business, or in mass market strategies. That is being “ordinary.”

Luxury, for Elva, is the unleashing of one’s authentic essence. It’s about unshakable belief, audacious authenticity, and the willingness to take up space. It’s about leading with power, knowing, and self-trust. It’s the frequency of luxury. Luxury doesn’t chase; it magnetizes and pulls you in. The reason people buy from her is because of the magnetism she exudes.

Luxury is my spirit animal.

For me, luxury is not confined to mere possessions or associated with being materialistic, superficial, or non-spiritual, because I truly believe that true luxury can only be created with high vibrational energy. There is a level of perfection, mastery, and abundance that’s really radiant with elegant luxury. Luxury is spiritual, and luxury is my spirit animal, guiding me to really express my authentic truth through my mastery, through my light.

I believe we are all light beings, operating on a frequency where our vibrations speak louder than words. So, that’s my understanding of luxury. That’s why I have it as my motto.

Now tell me a little bit. I mean, you started this brand right out of Australia, but you have reached a global audience. Can you tell us if that was ever your goal? 

Elva Li: I grew up in Shanghai, China, and I always wanted to see the world. So that’s why I packed my bags, left everything in Shanghai, and moved to Australia by myself to explore the world. Interestingly, I thought if I moved to another country, things would be completely different. But I found that I was still the same person in the corporate world. Even when I started my business, I felt like I was still that girl living in Shanghai because I was following what everyone else was doing.

I realized that no matter where I go, if my identity is the same, if I’m still trying to be that good girl playing small, listening to what other people say, it doesn’t matter if I’m in corporate, in business, in Shanghai, or Australia—the results will be the same.

The turning point for me was realizing who I am and embracing my multicultural background. There was a time when I felt like I wasn’t purely Asian anymore and not quite Australian yet—I was in between and trying to find myself. Eventually, I realized I am unique, a blend of Western and Eastern cultures. So, I embraced that and understood that true luxury is about embracing who we are.

Then when you discovered or nurtured that part of you, what do you find had changed in the way you showed up in the world?

I would say everything changed completely. It’s like stepping into a different role—how you talk, interact with people, and think changes. Of course, it’s not an overnight change. I started peeling away layers of social conditioning, things my parents and society told me, and memories from my childhood. It was like unveiling and remembering who I am—embracing both the yin and yang, both cultures.

Over the years, I’ve learned that the big shifts in life and business come from developing or remembering our consciousness of who we are. Being the light is not about being the electricity so that people rely on your energy; it is about being the lighthouse, lighting up yourself first, so you can shine the light for others and be the guiding light and inspiration for others.

So by doing so, you embodied your new identity and really stepped into the luxury life, and manifested your desires.

Yes, strategy is only a tiny part of it. The more important thing is who we are and how we live every day. For example, I have small anchors to maintain the frequency I want to step into—putting on red lipstick reminds me of who I am. I tell my clients, if you want to manifest going to Paris, start by playing some French music. You don’t need to be in Paris to feel that way—you can create that feeling now. It’s about moving from a doing game to a being game.

When it comes to your personal journey of healing and creating yourself and transforming, what would you say was the biggest catalyst for your growth?

Moving to Australia and starting my business was a big step. In the beginning, I invested six figures in coaches and mentors, seeking others to fix me rather than owning my true power. I was giving my power away, looking for a secret formula to grow my business. But if my identity was the same and I didn’t know who I truly was, it wouldn’t work. The catalyst was realizing that strategy works if you know who you are. I started to own my desires and see them as my compass. Embracing my desires, I found myself as the queen of luxury branding and a luxury coach. Not worrying about others’ judgments was a turning point—realizing that when I worried about being judged or rejected, I  was actually rejecting myself and my desires.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Follow your heart. If you have a dream or desire, it’s already within you. The multiverse has a version of you fulfilling that dream. Reconnect with your desires and follow what lights you up. When you light up, you become a lighthouse for others. If you feel stuck, reconnect with the vision that ignited your passion. Our vision is a guiding light, and we can always rechoose and redesign our path.

What advice would you give to women who are currently stuck or don’t know how to get into a state of empowerment?

When I started my personal development journey, I used frequency checkups as a tool to help me operate from a true luxury frequency. There are 4 levels of frequency we can operate from: Pre-Luxury, Faux-Luxury, Luxury-Yin, and Luxuria8te. 

  • Pre-Luxury Frequency: a disempowered status and victim mode; 
  • Faux-Luxury Frequency: The achieving and doing mode relying on yang (masculine) energy; 
  • Luxury-Yin Frequency: The flow and effortless mode tapping into the yin (feminine) energy; 
  • Luxuria8te Frequency: Infinitely powerful state of oneness and being mode. 

Check your frequency regularly—are you in oneness mode? Abundance is your natural state. The more awareness you have, the faster you can change your frequency.

I’m calling in my book series for luxury connoisseurs. I’m releasing the first one soon.

Elva, you mentioned a bit about checking in with yourself. What are your rules, rituals, or practices for an abundance mindset?

Nature is abundant, so I go to nature to feel abundance. A short walk in the park, feeling the river flow, or observing life helps remind me that abundance is my natural state. When I feel the wind, see the ocean, or smell flowers, I remind myself I am abundance. At night, observing the beauty of the stars reminds me of my cosmic being, helping me stay in an abundance mindset.

I love that. There’s so much of nature and natural elements in your rituals. Do you have a special crystal you love or anything like that?

Yes,  I love my lemurian crystal. I also believe in balancing the yin and yang, a concept that originated in Chinese philosophy. My background in Asian culture taught me the importance of this balance. We need both energies to unite and help us grow. It’s about balancing the feminine and masculine energies in everything we do.

And when you find that some women are too much in the masculine or feminine, do you have practices or tools in your work to help them?

Yes, I help my clients create their bespoke luxury menu. It’s like a spa menu—they can choose what resonates with them at the moment. For example, a walk in nature, putting on perfume, or dancing can help tap into feminine energy. I also help them create a masculine container to support the feminine flow. For example, in my morning ritual, I allocate 30 minutes purely for myself, choosing what resonates with me that day. It’s a balance between structure and flow.
