Jamie, tell us something unique or unexpected about yourself that’s not easy to find online.
I was raised on a cattle ranch, and grew up riding and showing horses. My first babysitter was a little black Shetland pony named Beauty, who let me nap on her back. I’ve lived in diverse places—from Calgary, Lahaina, Victoria and Phoenix, and now to my country home at Fox Ridge. Traveling and experiencing new landscapes has shaped my perspective on life and business. I love exploring London and the Irish and Scottish countryside.
What inspired you to pursue entrepreneurship?
I always knew I’d be an entrepreneur, following in my parents footsteps. Watching them build something on their own terms inspired me to do the same. Helping clients gain confidence as business owners and growing alongside them gives me a sense of purpose. I work primarily with creative entrepreneurs—their passion is infectious and fuels my work every day.
How did your background as a CPA influence your entrepreneurial journey?
Earning my CPA designation was originally a way to travel and work internationally, which led me to Hawaii. But it soon became more than that—it was my ticket to freedom. Early in my career, I realized the traditional office life wasn’t for me and motivated me to start my own online accounting firm.
Who are your mentors, and how have they influenced your journey?
Of course, there are brilliant trailblazers I admire, like Dolly Parton, Martha Stewart, Sara Blakely, and online entrepreneurs like Jasmine Star and Amy Porterfield, who inspire me daily with their creativity and groundbreaking achievements.
However, my greatest mentors are my ancestors. Their colorful stories of courage—pioneering new countries, braving the old wild west, surviving war and droughts, and building lives to be proud of—are the foundation of my strength. They raised leaders, horsemen, and dreamers, instilling resilience and willpower that I aspire to carry forward in my own journey. These qualities shape not only how I approach challenges but also how I seek to inspire others to build businesses rooted in purpose and determination.
What were the catalysts in your entrepreneurial journey—those moments that pushed you forward and challenged you to grow?
My inspiration has come from working with entrepreneurs. While I’m proud of my professional designation, it’s being an entrepreneur myself that I value most. It’s what led me to expand my business and explore the universal impact of money. Money is the longest relationship we experience in life—second only to the relationship we have with our own bodies. Our money stories and beliefs shape so much of who we are, which is why I’m passionate about helping others reshape their relationships with money.
What patterns or habits do you notice in successful businesses?
Every entrepreneur is unique, but one key trait is being a “doer.” Most entrepreneurs dive into their passion first, often leaving the details of accounting and financial organization as an afterthought. And honestly, I admire that drive! However, what truly propels a business forward is quickly addressing those financial foundations.
Having your accounting systems in order might not seem glamorous, but it’s transformative. It’s a balance—being bold enough to take risks but wise enough to prioritize your business acumen once you’ve started.
What happens when entrepreneurs neglect their finances early on?
Avoiding finances from fear of the unknown always causes stress! A common mistake among new entrepreneurs is misunderstanding basic financial principles, like profit margins, net income and legit tax write-offs. For instance, I’ve had clients pay cash for a car, assuming it’s fully deductible—only to realize it doesn’t work that way. These moments highlight the importance of business literacy.
If your ten-year-old self could see the person you’ve become today, what would make her the proudest?
Ten-year-old me was living her best life! I was traveling the horse show trail with my Mom, dreaming BIG monster dreams, not even realizing we were manifesting! Ten-year-old me would be proud of the independence I’ve built, especially being financially self-sufficient.
How do you support entrepreneurs in your business?
My core offer is a done-for-you accounting service subscription, designed specifically for creative entrepreneurs, to outsource their monthly accounting duties so they can focus on their passions. In 2025, I’m launching two new projects. First, the *Entrepreneur Virtual Experience (EVE)*, starting with a *How to Glow Up your Money Relationship in 7 days* email series. Created to provide daily bite-size, actionable steps to help entrepreneurs identify and transform their relationship with money. Second, I’m launching a podcast, Over the Moon About Money, which aims to inspire entrepreneurs to prioritize their life-long money journey, and start ‘minding their money’.
How do you balance the personal and professional sides of your life?
Balance for me is about flexibility. Since I travel often, I don’t have a rigid routine, but I prioritize moving my body and staying active. Exercise clears my mind, helps me reset, and keeps me energized to show up fully in all areas of my life. Staying hydrated, getting enough steps in, and focusing on wellness allows me to maintain clarity and balance, no matter where I am.
Manifest with us: what are you actively calling into your dream future?
I’m manifesting abundance and exponential growth of my online business. My goals include multiple seven figure financials, hosting in-person gatherings, and leading a global community of dream chasers! My perfect day would start with a sunrise workout, a big cup of black tea, and time spent with my horses—on a property where it never snows, and the wi-fi is strong! I’m calling in that high-vibe love frequency in all areas of my life. For me, loving what you do and who you share it with is the ultimate freedom.
Do you have a mantra or words to live by?
Yes, my mantra is simple: Be brave. It’s a reminder that applies to every area of life. As an entrepreneur, bravery is essential. There will always be challenges and uncertainties, but courage helps you navigate them and grow stronger on the other side.
What final advice would you give to women entrepreneurs about finances?
Don’t be afraid of the numbers, find the beauty in them. With the right support, you can figure it out, and it will transform your business and your life. Healing your relationship with money is powerful—it impacts not just your finances but also your personal relationships and your overall confidence. Start with self awareness, apply small, actionable steps to nurture that relationship, and you’ll see ripple effects of abundance in every area of your life.
