The Power of Posh | How Emely is Reshaping Motherhood with Purpose

Filed in:

Emely Darby is not your typical founder. An old soul at heart, she’s as grounded as she is visionary. Growing up in Texas, Emely always knew she was wired differently. While others dreamed of climbing corporate ladders, she dreamed of creating the brand. Her entrepreneurial spirit is innate—born in her veins.

When she became a mother, everything clicked into place. She wanted to be present for her daughter while also creating something impactful. What began as a simple idea evolved into The Posh Mama Club, a thriving community of empowered women redefining motherhood on their own terms. From Naples to Palm Springs and soon nationwide, Emely’s mission is unapologetically bold: to create spaces where women feel seen, supported, and celebrated—not just as moms, but as multifaceted individuals.

Today, Emely is leading a powerful movement—one that challenges stereotypes, sparks conversation, and invites women to step into their fullest power. Through every new chapter, she’s stayed fiercely protective of her peace, intentional with her vision, and rooted in authenticity. As a single mom, every decision she makes is fueled by love, legacy, and the desire to show her daughter that women can do it all—on their own terms. Whether she’s hosting a posh retreat, growing chapters across the country, or just spending time with her daughter, Emely is living proof that you don’t have to choose between family and ambition—you can build a life where both thrive.

Emely, let’s begin with some fun quirks our audience might not know just from your online presence.

I think social media can give a very different perception of who someone really is. I’m actually a lot quieter than people expect. I’m the most extroverted introvert you’ll ever meet. I love my alone time, and I’m always dreaming up new ideas—my mind just never shuts off. What you see online is often me stepping outside of my comfort zone because it’s part of the role I play in my business. In reality, I’m an old soul who often felt misunderstood.

What was the catalyst that allowed you to step fully into your power and launch your company?

I think I’ve always been wired for entrepreneurship. While other kids were dreaming of working for a company, I wanted to create one. It didn’t run in my family—maybe it skipped a generation—but it’s how I’ve always been. The moment I became a mother, everything came into focus. I wanted to create something impactful while also being fully present for my daughter. That’s when The Posh Mama Club began—as a hobby, really. It just kept growing from there.

When did you realize that you were building an empire?

It hit me about two years ago. Each time I opened a new chapter, I saw the momentum. At first, I didn’t have the armor. What I’m doing is controversial to some. People would say things like, “How can mothers be posh?” I get a 50/50 split between love and confusion, but that’s how I know I’ve struck a nerve. And striking a nerve means you’re doing something new.

How have you personally evolved as the brand has grown?

I used to take things personally. If someone didn’t understand the mission, I’d get torn up about it. Now I’ve accepted that not everyone will get it—and that’s okay. I focus on the ones who do. I’ve developed thicker skin and shifted into solution mode. If a problem arises, I don’t spiral. I ask, “Okay, what’s the solution?” and move forward.

What would your 12-year-old self be most proud of?

That I never settled. In society, there’s a lot of conditioning to just accept a certain kind of life. I refused. I was bullied, misunderstood, and always wanted to be liked. Now? I question whether I even want to be in the same room with certain people. I created the village I never had—for myself, and for other women.

What are some ways women can currently get involved with The Posh Mama Club?

They can visit our site and register for our membership. We now offer a detailed Q&A to help answer common questions like, “Do I have to be a mom to join?” or “What if I don’t feel posh?” This is a space for every mom who wants something more, who wants to feel seen. We’re also expanding rapidly—opening new chapters and collaborating with organizations to reach more women.

Are there upcoming plans or dreams you’re manifesting for 2025 and beyond?

Yes! We’re planning a big retreat in partnership with one of our Vegas sponsors. We’re keeping it under wraps until we’re ready to reveal what’s in the works. We’re also working to expand across the East Coast. New York, Jersey, the Carolinas. I focus on the movement. When your intention is aligned with passion, success follows.

Do you have any non-negotiable rituals or rules that help you stay grounded?

My peace and energy are non-negotiable. I practice gratitude, visualize my goals, and fiercely protect my inner circle. If I’m not well, I can’t show up for my daughter or my company. I’ve also learned the importance of boundaries and not giving access to everyone. Not everyone wants to see you win—and that’s okay.

What does your ideal future look like? Everything you’ve dreamed of has come true—walk us through it.

Funny enough, I don’t think I’ll ever retire. I love building, creating, evolving. I want to leave a lasting legacy for my daughter. Hopefully, I’ll have a partner by my side, and a larger team and network helping me expand. But I’ll still be doing what I love, just on a bigger scale.

Any mantras or words you live by?

“She isn’t asking for a seat at the table—she’s building her own.”

“If a woman holds the power to create life, she also holds the power to create the life she wants.”

Any final words for women reading this who are navigating motherhood, business, and identity?

Don’t let go of who you are just because you’re a mom. You’re not “just” anything—you’re powerful, multi-dimensional, and worthy of support. The Posh Mama Club isn’t just about looking pretty—it’s about redefining what motherhood can look like. We embrace all parts of you here. Keep breaking glass ceilings, even if it’s in heels.
