Shae McLeod | Building Her Own Empire

There are women who follow the map, and there are women who draw it.
For Shae McLeod, the map has always been self-made—rooted in freedom, intuition, and unshakable vision.

When we last spoke with Shae nearly four years ago, she was already establishing herself as a force in Canadian real estate. Today, her world looks vastly different. With a portfolio spanning 23 properties across Muskoka, Alberta, and beyond, she has quietly built a multimillion-dollar empire—one that reflects not only financial mastery but a lifestyle of complete autonomy.

“I’m always traveling somewhere,” she smiles. “I invest in the places I love—beautiful destinations, short-term rentals, spaces that hold energy.” That philosophy is now expanding globally, with her eyes set on Mexico and Europe. “There’s a bigger market outside of Canada. The quality of life, the opportunity, and the way money stretches—it all just makes sense. Taxes in Canada are wild; I want my money to go further.”

With her background in law, Shae is both strategic and fearless in her investments. She embodies a rare duality—softness and strength, feminine energy balanced with sharp intellect. “I’ve never been afraid to take risks,” she says. “But I also know when to ground myself. When things get heavy, I go back to nature, music, and family. I’ll take my shoes off, connect with the earth, or just go ride my horse. That’s how I stay aligned.”

Her perspective on business is as refreshing as it is uncompromising. “From the start, I knew I didn’t want to work with everyone,” she shares. “I only take clients who respect my energy and my value. Realtors often operate from fear—taking any deal, any client. But if you’re acting from fear, you can’t attract abundance. You have to show up as that girl before you become that girl.”

It’s that unfiltered confidence that fuels not only her brand but her movement. Shae is the founder of Game Changers, a podcast and platform where women have real, unedited, and often controversial conversations about success, relationships, money, and life. “When I started it, I wanted to give space to stories that weren’t being told—women from all walks of life, having the conversations others are afraid to have. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it’s necessary.”

While her entrepreneurial drive continues to expand, Shae is equally devoted to joy—what she calls her “rich auntie era.” “I’m an auntie through and through,” she laughs. “My nieces are like my kids. I’m embracing this chapter fully—spoiling them, matching outfits, all of it.”

Still, her vision of legacy reaches far beyond family. “I started with bad credit, no savings, and no financial knowledge,” she reflects. “I built everything from nothing. So my legacy isn’t just about money—it’s proof that your beginnings don’t define your future. When an idea comes into your head, it’s because the universe already programmed you for it. Follow it.”

That trust in her intuition has guided every leap. “I journal everything—every download from the universe,” she says. “It might sound wild, but every time I listen, opportunities follow. I’ve learned that you don’t need to chase; you need to align.”

Looking ahead, Shae is already manifesting her next chapter—a new property, a creative project, a sanctuary she can design from the ground up. “I’m craving a build,” she says, eyes sparkling. “Something I can pour myself into. I’ve designed and built properties in Muskoka and Canmore, and I’m ready for the next one. I don’t know where yet—but I know it’s coming.”

And if there’s one message she wants women to hear, it’s this: you’re not in competition with anyone. “It’s you versus you, every day. The moment you stop comparing and start focusing on your own lane, you unlock your power. There’s room for all of us to win.”

Shae McLeod is proof of that truth—graceful, grounded, and unapologetically herself. The empire she’s building isn’t just real estate—it’s a vibration, a movement, a reminder that wealth begins with self-worth.
