From a young age, the city’s vibrant culture and performing arts scene captivated Katherine’s imagination. During family outings to the city, she fell in love with its energy and rich heritage, ultimately leading her to pursue her interest in film and theater production at Marymount Manhattan College on the Upper East Side. Simultaneously, she found time to explore her passion for classical piano while studying with the New York Conservatory of Music. Upon graduating, Katherine embraced every opportunity the city offered, venturing into various realms of work from production assistance to hospitality, retail to childcare. With each experience, she formed lasting relationships and absorbed valuable lessons, fueling her eagerness to venture into the realm of luxury real estate—a domain she believes should be accessible to all.
As the saying goes, “there’s no time like the present,” and Katherine knew the moment had come to turn her fascination with real estate into a reality. Guided by passion and ambition, she took a leap of faith into the world of real estate, embarking on a thrilling new chapter in her life.

Did you have any prior background in entrepreneurship or in areas not typically taught in real estate?
My experiences in media and production have left me with so many valuable skills that translate seamlessly into my work as an up-and-coming entrepreneur. I have become an expert in projects that require many moving parts and perfect synchronicity between various departments. Organization and confident communication have been paramount to my success in previous fields. Now, I am able to bring those skills along with me into the world of real estate.
And yet, as someone new to real estate, I am constantly evolving and picking up new tricks along the way. It has been an incredible experience to work with a supportive team at The Agency, where any question will be met with an answer and guidance is readily available. Despite the competitiveness of the field, having such support makes me feel grateful and empowered as I embark on this journey. There’s limitless potential in real estate, and I’m eager to explore every opportunity to become a successful entrepreneur.
Can you offer any advice to young individuals aspiring to join real estate or even to your younger self before embarking on this career path?
For those considering a career in real estate, my advice is to prioritize financial preparedness. Building a cushion for yourself ensures that you have the time and mental space to fully immerse yourself in the field. Dedication and focus are crucial in establishing your brand and expanding your client base. It’s also important to put yourself out there and be eager to connect with people in the field. Don’t be afraid to walk into an event and spark up conversations. Amazing opportunities come from meeting new people and opening up your network.
To my younger self, I would impart the wisdom of taking life with a grain of salt. Embracing the idea that things unfold as they are meant to and understanding that some aspects of life are beyond our control can alleviate unnecessary stress. Trusting in the power of manifestation and allowing things to flow naturally can lead to the fulfillment of your aspirations.
What led you to choose The Agency as your banner company in the real estate industry?
My journey to The Agency may have an unconventional starting point. My fascination with real estate blossomed while watching HGTV and countless hours of real estate reality shows. Also being a follower of “Real Housewives”, I became familiar with The Agency and their expanding global presence. Over time, I began to envision a life surrounded by this captivating world. As I considered becoming licensed in New York, I knew I was in search of a brokerage that would match my energy.
During my interview process, The Agency’s approach spoke volumes about its commitment to their team members. They took the time to understand me on a personal level, which showcased their genuine investment in their people. From the outset, their unwavering support and encouragement have solidified my decision to choose The Agency.
It embodies the young, glamorous, and dynamic atmosphere I was seeking in my real estate career. How do you envision your impact on the marketplace and what values do you want to be known for?
In the vibrant New York City real estate landscape, I envision my role as a treasure hunter, uncovering hidden gems and presenting unique spaces to my clients. The city holds an intriguing mix of old and new, and I revel in the elements of surprise and history woven into each property.
My core value lies in understanding my clients deeply, ensuring that they find a space that truly reflects their identity and serves as a sanctuary. I believe everyone deserves a home where they can unwind and recharge—finding a safe space that resonates with their personality and fulfills their needs is paramount.
Luxury real estate captivates me, but I also recognize the importance of catering to various needs across the economic spectrum. My commitment to providing personalized service for clients, regardless of their price range, is a reflection of my dedication to making a positive impact in the marketplace.
How do you maintain inner balance in your new role in real estate, where there’s no set schedule and you’re your own boss?
As I navigate the world of real estate, establishing a consistent schedule has been a challenge. No two days are the same and you have to remain extremely self-motivated to work toward your clients’ goals. Apartments in NYC move so quickly that you must adopt a sense of urgency and determination to get things done, knowing that someone is entrusting you with their home search. I’ve been figuring out what practices work for me and how to divide my time efficiently.
I’ve learned to create a morning routine that sets a positive tone for the day. First thing in the morning, I go out for a walk, get coffee, or workout to connect with myself and avoid jumping straight into screen time. Each day is unique, with outreach, showings, content creation, and networking events filling my schedule. I always devote time to organizing paperwork and compiling PDFs for my clients to ensure they are well-prepared for applications. I’ve also learned to utilize downtime productively by enhancing my marketing strategies or personal growth, assuring myself that slow days present valuable opportunities for self-improvement. It’s crucial to maintain accessibility while recognizing the importance of self-care and personal time.
Embracing the ebb and flow of real estate, especially as a newcomer, has taught me to live in the moment and appreciate each day as a learning experience.
How do you approach manifestation, and what are your current goals and aspirations?
I firmly believe in the power of manifestation. I visualize and act as if I already have what I desire, knowing that it will come to fruition. This mental practice empowers me to trust the journey and my ability to make things happen for myself.
In the coming year, my primary goal is to expand my presence in different settings and build a loyal client base. I focus on providing exceptional service to ensure happy clients who may return in the future. While I work toward million-dollar listings, I find great joy in meeting new people and cultivating relationships that extend beyond business.
I am determined to explore and refine my work process as a real estate agent, learning what strategies work best for me. Additionally, I am honing my personal brand to set myself apart in the industry, though I am still in the process of discovering what that entails. It’s a metamorphosis of sorts. Overall, I am excited to embrace opportunities and create a thriving path in real estate.
What do you consider to be your superpowers, and how do they impact your work in real estate?
I believe I possess a couple of superpowers that contribute to my success in real estate. First and foremost, confidence is a significant aspect of my personality. It allows me to approach any situation with the belief that I can conquer it. This unwavering confidence enables me to effortlessly match the energy of any room I enter, gaining respect and trust from others.
Another superpower I possess is active listening and empathy. I deeply connect with my clients, taking the time to understand their needs and preferences on a personal level. Building lasting relationships is essential to me, and I strive to be a reliable and supportive rock for my clients in both their real estate journey and personal life.
Moreover, being open-minded is crucial in my approach to life and business. I embrace opportunities without limiting myself and trust that anything is possible with the right amount of determination. Throughout the years, I have faced challenges that tested these qualities, but I always find my way back to my true self. I always know that what is meant to be will be.
What’s coming up next?
For the upcoming launch of this issue, my focus is on growing my brand and expanding my following. I want to be known as a fun and approachable agent who will get the job done while providing an exciting experience for clients. My approach is centered on finding my clients a home where they can thrive and exist as the best version of themselves. I am here to take the weight off of anyone who is unsure where to start, and lay the groundwork for them to receive keys to their new home. It is my greatest pride to see my clients move into a place we first saw together, and then be able to toast to their happy housewarming.
While I primarily operate in Manhattan and Brooklyn, I’m open to serving clients in any of the five boroughs, and am even willing to explore opportunities upstate. I have a particular interest in working with new students and individuals who are moving to the city for the first time, as I find great success in helping them navigate this bustling city. There is something for everyone here in the greatest city in the world, and those who choose to work with me are on the fast track finding the perfect apartment to call their own.
