Meet Manuela Palermo, born and raised in Toronto currently residing in York Region. After receiving a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University, she worked in the Financial sector for years before discovering real estate. “I enjoyed helping people reach their goals, buying a home is a major purchase and a huge achievement and I loved being part of that process” she states when it comes to her career. It was natural for her to take her career to the next level and join the real estate industry. She hasn’t looked back since, fourteen years in the making! Here is her journey to success.
Manuela has been passionate about everything real estate-related since 18 years of age. She attended Ryerson University and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Business specializing in Finance and Accounting. After graduation, she started her career as a Financial Planner with TD Waterhouse Wealth Management. While working in Wealth Management, she enjoyed helping people plan for their dreams and goals. During this time, she started Property Management for a solid commercial real estate portfolio managing over 20 Commercial properties. She learned a lot about commercial real estate and loved it. She continues to do Property Management for this portfolio today.
She realized that she was ready to take a leap in her career and indulge in the Real Estate industry. So, in 2007 she received her Real Estate license and, shortly after that, obtained her Brokers license.
Tell us why you decided to go with Engel & Völkers?
The brand is known internationally and totally in line with our culture, values, and beliefs. It really offered me something that could not be found in a mainstream brokerage. I am surrounded by an amazing team and I would like to continue to build and grow with likeminded agents. I love what I do and being with the Engel & Völkers brand makes it easy for me to continue to enjoy coming into work every day.
In 2018, her desire to grow and passion led her to a new chapter in her career; opening a Boutique Luxury Real Estate Brokerage. Seeing the potential for significant growth in the area, she opened this brokerage in King City. Where now, the average home price is $2.2 million up to $14 million. She leads and manages quality and exclusive real estate advisors. The prestigious Engel & Völkers Real Estate brand provided the culture she craved, as well as cutting-edge technology and global resources.
What is your vision for your company in the next 5-10 years?
In the future I want to continue to help others develop and elevate themselves within their careers, whether it is speaking at a conference or to a colleague in the office. I am interested in looking for opportunities to expand globally, professionally, and personally as I would love a place Cabo. In the meantime, you can find me at my brokerage in King City.
What does success represent to you?
Success means something different to everyone, to me it is accomplishing what makes you happiest and which goals make you closer to achieving the life you have always wanted. I know I feel the most successful when I am helping others grow and achieve their goals.
