Lindsey’s competitive nature is palpable, evident in her relentless pursuit of excellence. With a work-hard-play-hard mentality, Lindsey ensures that while she indulges in enjoyable activities and vacations, she remains deeply committed to her work, often dedicating 40 to 70 hours per week to her professional endeavors. Surprisingly, Lindsey shares a lesser-known fact about herself—she hails from a lineage deeply rooted in Florida, spanning five generations, which has instilled in her a rich entrepreneurial spirit.


Could you provide further insight into your family’s entrepreneurial background?

Indeed, my family heritage boasts a rich tapestry of entrepreneurship. My great-grandfather was the proud owner of one of  the state’s first Ford dealerships and held the esteemed position of Speaker of the House. Entrepreneurial endeavors were ingrained in our family ethos; my grandmother, a missionary by vocation, seamlessly juggled her calling with running her own business, operating as an independent contractor. My grandfather and his son ventured into the watermelon distribution business, starting from humble beginnings in a small metal warehouse to eventually becoming the largest distributor on the East Coast—a legacy that endures to this day, now under my cousin’s stewardship. Our family grew up on the same street and we are all business owners or CEO’s. Entrepreneurship courses through our veins; even my great-grandmother was a trailblazing real estate agent.


That’s a fascinating lineage indeed. What prompted you to embark on a career in the real estate industry?

After dedicating 15 fulfilling years to the restaurant industry, I found myself at a crossroads following the birth of my children. While I cherished my time in hospitality, the demanding nature of the profession proved incompatible with my role as a mother.

Financial considerations also played a significant role in my decision to seek alternative career paths. Real estate beckoned with the promise of a lucrative return on invested time—a venture where my success wasn’t contingent on the actions of others.


What led you to choose Compass as your real estate home?

Admittedly, my initial knowledge of Compass was limited. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the technological prowess they offered. Unlike traditional real estate setups, Compass streamlined operations by consolidating disparate subscriptions into a comprehensive, cost-free resource, empowering agents to operate with unparalleled efficiency.

My decision to join Compass was heavily influenced by Kirk Kessel. As a pivotal figure in Carpenter Kessel, the team I belong to, Kirk’s mentorship was instrumental in my professional journey. Witnessing Kirk and Dwayne’s unparalleled success, coupled with their ambitious plans for the future at Compass, made it an unequivocal choice for me. They are currently the number one team in the state of Florida and number seven in the nation.



Could you share your experience with Compass since joining?

Every facet of my experience with Compass has been exceptional. Kirk and Dwayne, exemplify excellence in leadership, consistently hitting the mark in every aspect. What’s more is the support we receive from the COMPASS staff, Andrea Loper and Steven Busch.  I often jest with them, “If you ever manage to upset me, you’ll be stuck with me,” for Compass has crafted an environment where alternatives pale in comparison. It’s safe to say they’ve perfected the formula for success. 


As you look ahead with Compass, what are your goals for the upcoming year? Where do you intend to focus your efforts?

Given the evolving landscape of the market, adaptability is paramount. With market dynamics in flux, prioritizing communication and relationship-building is imperative. I’m a firm believer in the power of networking and fostering genuine connections. This year, I’ve proactively engaged in various networking groups and community initiatives, aiming to fortify relationships and contribute meaningfully to the community. Additionally, I’ve been actively involved with local nonprofits, cognizant of the challenges they face amidst economic fluctuations. My overarching focus remains on cultivating authentic connections and nurturing relationships, eschewing a transactional approach for one rooted in genuine rapport.


Being part of a prominent team, could you shed light on the regions you’re targeting and the prevailing trends in real estate sales?

Personally, my focus lies on the Melbourne West Melbourne area—a region I’ve called home for years. I’m a proponent of specialization, ensuring that I possess an intimate understanding of the areas I serve. Carpenter Kessel recruited me based on my expertise in this niche market. Their recruitment strategy revolves around assembling a team of experts, each specializing in distinct geographical areas. As such, Melbourne West Melbourne has become my area of expertise.


Maintaining inner balance amidst the chaos of daily life, especially with familial obligations and a demanding schedule, can be challenging. How do you manage to navigate these complexities?

My faith serves as my cornerstone, grounding me amidst life’s tumultuous currents. As a devout follower of Christ, prayer forms the bedrock of my daily routine. In the quietude of the early morning hours, before the world stirs awake, I seek solace in communion with my Lord and Savior. It’s during these moments of introspection that I surrender my anxieties, hopes, and aspirations to God finding solace in the belief that I am never alone in my journey. If there’s a secret to my resilience and success, it lies in the unwavering faith that guides my every step.


Could you share your daily routines that contribute to a fulfilling life?

Undoubtedly, my morning routine holds profound significance in shaping the trajectory of my day. Rooted in unwavering conviction and integrity, my rituals serve as a compass, guiding me through life’s labyrinth. While health challenges may have temporarily altered the landscape, my commitment to these rituals remains steadfast. Each morning, I carve out a sacred space for prayer and reflection, seeking divine guidance and fortitude to navigate the day ahead. Despite the challenges that may arise, this ritual remains non-negotiable—a testament to the power of discipline and faith in fostering resilience.


Do you believe in visualization? What are you actively manifesting now?

I actually have a book that I wrote that I’m in the works of getting published. One of the chapters is about mindset, and mindset is one of the few areas that I really believe that science and the Bible align in a lot of ways. We just call it and refer to it in different ways. So, for me, it’s having the mind of Christ, and biblically, God wants to give us the desires of our heart. He wants us to be abundant. I hate that there are people out there that preach that poverty is Christ-like because it’s not. So for me, it’s the mind of Christ and living in the abundance that he wants to give us. But it’s what the world would call manifesting, and yes, I do believe in it. I do believe in visualization. I can tell you the house I’m living in right now is a house that I visualized back in the early 2000s, and it’s exactly what I manifested.


Could you shed light on your upcoming book and its overarching purpose?

My forthcoming book, “Success Mapping,” represents a culmination of years of insights and experiences distilled into a comprehensive guide for aspiring female entrepreneurs. Rooted in a faith-based framework, it offers practical strategies and actionable insights aimed at reigniting the flames of ambition and charting a course towards success. Designed as a workbook, it serves as a roadmap for women navigating the tumultuous terrain of business, offering a blueprint for realizing their aspirations. At its core, “Success Mapping” is a testament to the transformative power of faith, resilience, and unwavering determination—a beacon of hope for women striving to carve out their own path in a world rife with challenges.

What are your daily non-negotiables for a successful day?

As an ardent advocate for organization and self-awareness, my daily non-negotiables revolve around maintaining a sense of equilibrium amidst life’s myriad demands. For me, success lies in the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities with finesse—a testament to my innate bandwidth. Central to this endeavor is the cultivation of organizational systems and routines that serve as pillars of stability amidst chaos. By continually reassessing my priorities and refining my systems, I ensure that I remain steadfast in pursuit of my goals, unwavering in my commitment to excellence.

As you reflect on your journey, what would you say is your superpower, either in the sales arena or in life?

Without a doubt, my superpower lies in my capacity to navigate through chaos with grace and efficiency. Fueled by an unrelenting drive for excellence, I possess an innate ability to orchestrate myriad responsibilities seamlessly, anchored by a foundation of organization and self-awareness. Whether in the realm of sales or in life, my ability to maintain composure amidst turbulence serves as a testament to my resilience and unwavering determination.

As you look ahead, what’s on the horizon for you in the next three months?

Currently, my focus is on bringing my book, “Success Mapping,” to fruition. I’m actively engaged in discussions with publishers and eager to share this transformative work with aspiring female entrepreneurs. Additionally, I remain committed to my real estate career, continually seeking opportunities for growth and expansion. While the road ahead may be fraught with challenges, I remain steadfast in my resolve, guided by a steadfast belief in the transformative power of faith and resilience.
