Earlier today, Katy Perry turned up the heat in the desert, making a surprise appearance during her best friend Mia Moretti’s debut DJ set at Coachella’s iconic DoLab Stage.
Rocking Moretti’s custom bikini t-shirt from her limited edition Festival merch drop, the pop superstar showed her unwavering support for her bestie’s blossoming music career. But Perry didn’t stop there – she took the celebration to new heights by joining Moretti on stage and shooting Mia Moretti-branded (biodegradable) dollar bills from a money gun, much to the delight of the raving crowd.
The epic moment served as the perfect promotion for Moretti’s new single, “I Need Some Money” (stream HERE) which dropped last Friday, April 12th on Universal South Africa / Spaghetti Moretti Records, just in time for festival season. With Perry’s playful antics and Moretti’s thumping beats, the dynamic duo undoubtedly stole the show, solidifying their status as the ultimate BFF goals.
Perry and Moretti’s friendship spans several decades, with Moretti standing firmly by Perry’s side since the early days of her career. Now, as Moretti begins to explode as a talented DJ and producer in the dance music scene, Perry is returning the favor, showing her staunch support for her best friend’s talent and endeavors, just as Moretti has done for her over the years.
