Meet Brittany Budd, Mindset and Business Coach for female entrepreneurs scaling to 6-7 figure wealth in their businesses and brands. From the proven $10K formula to the Big Cl*t Energy, she incentives women to reach the next level in their personal and professional lives.
Home to the East Coast of Canada, Brittany was a stockbroker for seven years before she embarked on the #selfmade journey of becoming a business owner and coach. Her journey was not a narrow path, filled with heartbreaks and failures but she always pulled through and embraced the silver lining. A mother of three beautiful children and wife to her beloved husband, she proves that you can truly have it all. She’s got BCE (Big Cl*t Energy) and we’re here for it.
Tell us about the parts we have yet to be introduced to from your instagram @theBrittanyBudd?
I was a stockbroker for seven years before I became a Mindset and Business Coach. I am a wife and a mom. I love swearing, which you definitely can tell from my social media. I love being real, honest, open, and true to who I am. I love money, and I love when women have a lot of money. I love having lots of fun, traveling, and making memories with my family. I think those things are so important.
Walk us through your journey into the coaching space.
I have lost two babies in the last three years. I have three beautiful living children. I have an eight-year-old, a seven-year-old, and an almost five-year-old. Three years ago, we were pregnant with a little girl. When I was 18 weeks pregnant with her, she died. After that, we faced infertility. It was really bad. We tried the most invasive form of IVF and we got pregnant in December of last year with a little boy.
In March, when he was 17 weeks old inside my belly, he passed away. And so those have definitely been horrific experiences for me as a woman, as a human, and as a mother. Nothing happened for these babies to pass away. I just had a routine appointment and discovered that they couldn’t find a heartbeat anymore. I was admitted into the hospital and induced to deliver these little souls.
The first time it happened with our girl three years ago was probably the darkest I have ever been. I feel like I lost a little bit of my faith and my spirituality. And I would say that I probably even became a little bit angry and numb to the world. But that experience has been a catalyst, and I feel like I handled the second loss so much better than the first one. I’ve been on this deep spiritual healing journey within myself so that I can show up more powerfully for other women and for other mothers who are dealing with the same thing. Because I think that this is something that’s not really talked about. Statistically, 50% of pregnancies end in a loss, and so, I’m not alone in what I’ve gone through. But it’s just such a taboo topic.
One thing that has been powerful for me is starting my business after the first loss three years ago. So I’ve only been a Mindset and Business Coach for two and a half years. And something really beautiful that came out of my business was that I made enough money to have months and months stored up in my bank account. I was able to step all the way back as much as I needed and focus on my mental health and my physical health, not having to worry about what my business was doing. And I think that that’s been such a beautiful blessing for me and my family. Because if I had worked at a day job they would have been like, “Okay, well, when can you come back to work?” I didn’t have any of that pressure to show up and be or do or say anything that I couldn’t.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
If I could go back in time and talk to a younger Brittany, I would probably tell her to have started my coaching business a lot sooner. I started investing in personal development long before I ever became a coach because I thought that I needed it, and I really enjoyed it. When I was working in stocks and investments, I thought it was so important. It was a very high pressure environment. And this is where a lot of my passion for women getting rich stems from. If you think of stockbrokers, you immediately think of old white men. I was constantly forcing my way to the table, pulling up a chair, and being like, “move over, I belong to this table, too.”
I was not taken very seriously because I was a young woman. I had pink and purple hair. People just assumed that I was someone’s assistant who was there just to take notes. I was constantly like, “No, I belong here.” And when I decided to branch out and start my own mindset and business coaching business it was like, “hey, ladies, you belong here. Let me help you out.” So, absolutely, I would have started sooner. Because like I said, I sat on it for about a year thinking, “Could I be a coach? I don’t know if I have what it takes. I don’t know if I’m cool enough or smart enough. If I have the coolest things to say or if I’m unique enough. Maybe it’s for other people and not for me.” And if I could go back in time I would say, “No, you do. And you better start today. Don’t wait a year. Start now.”
How do you embody success in your daily life?
It’s a daily practice, for sure. Something that I create for my private clients is a guided meditation where I take them into the future. It’s so much fun. It’s very visual. Your brain is designed for creation and imagination. There are infinite possibilities of how your future could play out. Unfortunately, most people just choose to relive the same day over and over, they sleep in the same bed, drive the same car on the same route to work, and sit in the same cubicle. We just Groundhog-Day it. But when we go through the meditation you’re talking to that future version of yourself, seeing yourself, and having conversations like, “what are you doing? What are you thinking? How are you spending your time? What advice can you give me?” I’m constantly thinking and deferring to that future version of me going, “well, what does she think about what’s currently going on?” Usually, I can put things into perspective when I’m thinking of the big picture instead of what’s going on right now.
What routines or rituals do you implement regularly to stay in ease and flow?
Because I have small children, my morning routine revolves around them. We’re getting up, we’re getting ready for school, we’re doing all those beautiful things. I like to spend time every day listening to positive and uplifting music. As someone who loves manifesting and loves abundance, it’s really important that we’re careful about the music that we listen to. Music is so powerful, as well as the message behind it. I love having a dance party once a day by myself. Usually, when I’m doing my makeup, I’ll be rocking out to positive, high-vibe music that pumps me up.
I’m a Manifesting Generator so typical business hours don’t work for me. I like to just kind of be in flow, energetically. And because my business is online — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, email, and everything else — I have to be so careful about what I’m doing on my phone so I don’t get caught up in the scrolling. I think everyone can relate to that. You go to do something and then twenty minutes have passed and you’re just scrolling, scrolling, scrolling. As for nighttime, I’m a big boiling-hot-bath kind of person. I like to veg out, decompress, and let my creative energy do whatever it wants. And that’s usually where I come up with great content or cool new offers that I want to put out.
Then right before bed — I know this is so dorky — I just love a romantic comedy novel. We think that we need to be on the go all of the time and that how productive we are determines our worth, but we forget that we cannot pour from an empty cup. I always tell my clients, “Rest is an income-producing activity, ladies.” Most of my clients are like, “I went to the beach and I made $10K.” And then I’m like, “Of course you did. You were resting.”
What courses do you have for women who want to join your space?
I have a membership, which I’m obsessed about. It’s pretty new, I launched it earlier this spring. It’s for newer entrepreneurs or those who are feeling they have plateaued in their business. It’s all about setting the foundation for your first $10k month and creating a $100k year. This membership is super affordable, it’s only $100 a month. I wanted it to be extremely accessible to all women. I feel like sometimes we’re kind of gatekeeping. There are so many free tools and resources online that we can absolutely tap into but the problem is we sign up for the free PDF, the free webinar, or whatever, we listen to it, we love it, we maybe even make notes, but as soon as we close the book, it’s over. We never come back, we never open it back up.
Inside the membership is an on-demand course. You can binge it like Netflix if you want. The videos are really short. They’re about 15 to 20 minutes long because a lot of the women that I work with are also moms. And let’s face it, who has more than 20 minutes of uninterrupted time? Not very many of us. So, there is all of that training. There’s a great workbook. There’s a Facebook community. There are weekly hour-long group calls. And then there’s also on-demand access to me inside of our Facebook community, where they can ask questions, share things for feedback, share their wins, or just get support. It’s full of encouragement, and it’s so beautiful there. I am so honored that I get to lead in this container. It’s so much fun. It’s called the $10K Formula Inner Circle.
When it comes to Manifesting, what is your BIG vision for the future?
Again, I feel so passionate about women having a lot of money. I think that the world would be a much better place if women had more money. Because when women have a lot of money we are more likely to put it back into our families, put it back into our communities, and make the world a much better place. I believe that at my core. And so, when I think of a big vision I think of thousands of women inside the membership making $10k months and $100k years. This is a full-blown ripple effect that is going to change the world. I see this as a full movement where women are just making a lot of money. I think that’s so important as women, and as moms especially, that when we do this work we’re not sacrificing time for money. That’s the old-school way of doing business. You put in 9 to 5 and if you want to get ahead, you stay late, you do extra, and you go above and beyond. And then, maybe you’ll get a promotion. You do unpaid overtime, but maybe someone will see it and appreciate you, and give you a raise.
We don’t want that. That’s not why we started our businesses. We want to work a couple of hours out of the day, we want to be present moms, and we want to have time for ourselves. I just think that you can have it all and you can have it all at once. I’m not about, “You can have it all, but not all at once.” No. Why do we have to choose? I have grown my business to multiple six figures, over $400,000 in two years, working two hours a day. And I think that more women need to understand that it’s possible for them and it’s not as hard as it seems. Yes, it takes work. Absolutely. Let’s not pretend that it doesn’t take work. It does take work, but when you know the right work and you’re intentional about what the right work is, it doesn’t have to be difficult. It can be simple and stress-free, and we get to have all of it. So, my big vision, I see thousands of women making hundreds of thousands of dollars thanks to my membership.
I’m launching a one-on-one mastermind hybrid and I’m calling it Big Cl*t Energy. I was at a retreat and we were talking about big-d*ck energy and tall-girl energy. I’m five feet tall. Lots of people think that I’m much closer to six feet tall, but because I’m online, they don’t know. I have this tall-girl energy and so they think I’m very tall. But I’m not, I just have that energy. So when we were talking about tall girls and big d*cks I was like, “No. Women need to have big cl*ts. We need to be unapologetic about what our message is, who we are, what we want to do, the impact that we can bring to the world, all-around rich-b*tch energy.”
It’s a one-on- one mastermind hybrid because I think it’s so important to be able to get one-on-one access to your coach, but also, the “community feel” that women need and desire in a mastermind. It’s a six-month container. I’m holding space to have one hundred women in that, unapologetically sharing their message, getting really clear on who they are and what they’re doing, and just going off and making millions of dollars. I’d love to have a foundation for women who are struggling with miscarriage, pregnancy loss, infant loss, and fertility issues. That’s definitely my big vision, too.
What would you like your clients to retain the most from the work that you do?
I’m a wife and a mom in Eastern Canada. I live in the suburbs. I drive a minivan. I am not frolicking on the beach wearing Christian Louboutins, and Versace, and going on cruises every other week. I’m a real mom that cleans up vomit when my kids throw up. My kids wake me up in the middle of the night because they had a nightmare and they climb into bed with me. I’m a normal human who just f*cking believed in herself and went for it. Now I make a lot of money and I help thousands of women do the same.
What are your gifts to the world?
My gifts to the world are my passion for helping women get rich, my brilliant business brain, and helping women get rich as he*ll so that they can say “YES” to whatever they want.
